Week of New Zealand!

I can't believe I haven't updated you guys in so long, actually... not so long but the amount of stuff the Lord has been doing has been very large and amazing, I have so much to tell you!
First off, Hawaii continues to get more and more amazing as the weeks go on. My time outside of campus becomes less and less and I'm feeling the Lord more and more as time goes on and what a blessing that has been.
The week previous to this Kristen Williams and Cindy Ruekere came to minister to us from New Zealand, and what an incredible week it was!! Here are 7 things that the Lord spoke LOUDLY to me this week!!
1) The importance of the secret place. One verse out of that, that I can't stop thinking about is Matthew 6:4 "Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." Love is the core of the Christian faith and knowing that you are loved gives you the ability to love. Like to saying "Hurt people hurt people", also "loved people love people!" Love God. Love People. These are the first two commandments and they go in hand in hand... they are inseparable. And in order to love fully, we have to have a river flowing in us - and that will create the river of love to flow out.. and we receive the fullness of that river in the secret place. God longs to get away with us, to spend along time with us, to pour wisdom and revelation into us... In this place we reboot ... we pour out, and then go back to the secret place and reboot. I have always been a person to where I hated getting up in the morning, there was no reason for it. So I would just spend time with the Lord at night... but the more I am here, the more I am realizing for myself the importance of having the Lord be the FIRST thing on my mind in the morning, and the first one to pour into me. And I literally can see a difference in my attitude and actions when I spent time with the Lord and let His love overtake me, so I can pour out that love on those around me. Because we cannot represent something to the fullness of the power if we do not know that something or in this case someone. So who are you representing? Who am I representing? Am I representing God or am I representing something else?
2) Perfect Love Casts Out All Fear. So many times we focus on the bad... we focus on what the enemy is doing so that we can eliminate that, but what this verse is saying is that when we begin to focus on this LOVE (which casts out all fear), that fear and evil will be removed. When we focus so hard on something... we honestly start becoming like it because it is all we are thinking about... so why not focus on God, focus on what the Lord is doing, focus on the power of Jesus... RECEIVE the Love and all else will fall into place.
3) What is your motivation? God goes to work in a persons life to light a fire - for relationship, love and communion. God wants to light a fire so strong that the burning and desire to constantly be with Him pours into EVERY part of your life. I don't want to be moved by ANYTHING as much as I am moved by Jesus. When you are not moved by fame or influence or circumstance - you can reach out even more effectively into the nations, into those around you, because you are always and only moved by Jesus. if you modify your behavior according to the enemy's threat, you are never going to win and you will always back away from what Gods calling you to do. Like Daniel, when he left his windows open to pray - he was basically saying that NOTHING will move him and his trust will remain completely in the Lord and not in the circumstances around him. Psalm 73:25 says, "Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you."
4) Prayer is the exchange of Love. AHH! I can't explain to you how beautiful this is to me... I don't know why exactly. I think so much we put too much emphasis on praying and how it has to be this serious this and we are forced to pray and blah blah blah. And yes it is serious and extremely important, but it is such a privilege!!! We have the honor of EXCHANGING LOVE with the King of the Universe, the maker of all things. GOD desires to be with us, how beautiful is that. Exchange; to give and receive the same back... but what the Lord, we give and we receive SO much more than we could ever imagine. This is learning to love and to be loved. Prayer is not saying "Lord I am sorry for this, I am sorry for this, oh God and please do this, please do this and this, oh and I forgot I'm sorry for this.. Okay bye God." It is not the exchange of requests primarily. When we create hours in the secret place we can expect with everything in us for our lives to be dramatically changed... because we cannot have love be poured into us so strongly, and us give it back and receive again without it changing our lives. We literally can lack NOTHING. God is after your heart, He is after a love relationship with you. Song of Songs 4:9 says, "You have stolen my heart, my sister, my bride; you have stolen my heart with one glance of your eyes, with one jewel of your necklace."
5) The first recorded words by God; Genesis 1:3, "And God said, 'Let there be light,' and there was light." We are suppose to release LIGHT everywhere we go. I don't want to know what the demons are doing - I want to know what the Holy Spirit is doing. Acts 17 says "In Him we live, in Him we move, in Him we have our being... EVERY GOOD THING IS A GIFT FROM GOD. He is the father of Lights - no darkness. Matthew 5 says "You are the light of the world" Our business is not darkness - it is LIGHT. God never acknowledged the darkness in the beginning - He just proclaimed the light. When God said "let there be light", a universe was created! in Matthew 5 when it says that, it calls US light... and God was also Light... because God is inside of us, wherever we go... it is natural for us to seep out light because we having the actual living figure of light inside. We can't help but overflow when we have such a strong sense and power inside of us.
6) Where there is no vision, people perish (Proverbs 29:18). Vision is your prophetic sense of what God wants to do. When we have vision, heavens treasures become visible. When you have vision, you are able to look at someone for what they are called to be. And the hardest person to do this with is yourself. It is the super natural ability to see what other people cannot see... and without this vision we will perish. Without a sense of your future being valuable, being formed by GOD... you will waste your present. When we start to engage in stuff that is damaging to us, that will lead to death, it illuminates the fact that they do not see the value of their future, therefore they lack vision. Vision keeps you focused on where you are headed and away from things that are destructive and will bring you off the path. Again; People that don't value their future throw away their present. Vision is also importance because God looks at ALL of us calls us leaders. NOBODY is an exception to that! We are called to be the salt of the earth and light of the world. This is a metaphor of influence... we are called to influence the place we have been placed. The nature of leadership is influence. We are head not tail, leader not follower. The most important question as a leader to answer is: "Where are you going?" because would you want to be in a plane flown by a pilot who is blind?
7) Build A Room! We have to build a room for the Lord. There is a huge difference in having someone come to visit and having someone come to live. John 14:2 says "In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you." Now... House = Family in Jesus' language spoken at the time. And Rooms = Dwelling Place, "In my Fathers family there are many dwelling place." God has built a room just for you inside of His heart - it is permanent and it cannot be removed. It is now our turn to make the same place in our hearts for the Lord. We cannot just go to church anymore, we have to BE the church. We've got to sop dating God. We can't visit Him anymore. We have to build a room for Him - to DWELL with God! In order to build a room we have to make significant time. "Fast answers produce shallow benefits." God sometimes delay answers to not only heal us - but to change us. If you can't find a reason to pray - you are missing it. What you do in secret, again the father will reward openly! We also have to Worship. Worship is the overflow of your heart. God enjoys us... "Religion will rob you of the ability to enjoy God." Bill Johnson said "Before God made you he had none of you and He didn't like it." The next thing is the Word Of God. When you don't know what to pray - pray the word of God! When a verse catches your eye - Camp There! There much be something important the Lord is desiring to show you deeper than just words. Joel 2 says "I will pour out my spirit on ALL flesh!" Remind God of what He already said He's done! Also Luke 8 says "Whoever has will be given more." And the key to building a room, Position yourself for supernatural activity. God stirs something in your heart and then steps back and waits to see how we respond. And God responds to our response! So how do you position yourself? 1) Respond to EVERY call of the Lord! When you respond, He responds. And 2) Don't Die Wondering! It is better to do something and find it was wrong than to not do something and wonder what would have happened.

So needless to say, the Lord did so much!! Haha. He is continuing to pour out His spirit. This is just last week so I will also post another blog on what the Lord has been doing that is a little more adventurous and also this week.
And if you read all of this, you def get some Kona Coffee hahaha ;)

  1. Well, these weren't just nuggets of truth, they were boulders of insite and revelation. Thank you so much for taking the time to so beautifully express, again, how the Lord has been opening you up, what he has been pouring into you, and what is flowing out in torrents. It's so amazing.
And since I read every last word...I'll be waiting, not so patiently, for my Kona coffee to arrive!!

    I love you... Mom

As we sat around on the back porch, with Chris playing his guitar, I read this outloud to both him and Dad. It was a special time.
