God wants to take us on adventures in His heart. he has mysteries and secrets He is dying to share with us... But we have to want it, we have to be paying attention. A lot of the time we are so focused on "doing" things to bring us closer to God... And we aren't allowing Him to take us on detours that require nothing but just resting in His presence.
He wants to take His children on random road-trips inside of His kingdom, just to amaze us, to excel us, to share with us little things about Him that will drastically change our small idea of Him, and will reveal to us what He believes about us. But we have to ALLOW Him to do these things. We have to give Him permission, every day, to take us somewhere. He isn't going to throw you in the backseat of the car and take you wherever, whenever.
God has given us a choice, simply because He LOVES to be chosen. He wants to be your FIRST choice. He wants to be your decision. If He were to constantly be at the wheel and never ask your opinion, He would also never get the joy of being chosen.
Sometimes God creates little secrets with me... I like to call them our "secret pleasures". To the outside eye, they would seem like normal things... But to me and my Abba, they are Kingdom Treasures in our relationship. The most consistent one over the past several years has been butterflies. I don't know how it started, but its been awesome to see the Lord be extremely intentional with my heart through them, and to also see how creative He is with just one creation.
I believe God puts Secret Pleasures in every single persons heart, and they connect with His heart like nothing else. He LOVES to be intentional and personal. He loves to share things with us. I also believe He puts natural things inside of our daily lives that push us towards these adventures that He's craving to go on with us.
In everything, God desires to speak to us. But with that also comes the reality that we miss Him SO much, just because we aren't expecting it. When we expect God to speak, when our hearts are in a vulnerable plae to hear whatever it is He longs to tell us, when we allow the Lord to do whatever He wants to do because we trust it will be GOOD - because God is always good, then we should always be exploding with revelation from the heart of God, from the heart of Love Himself.
God loves to amaze you. He loves to surprise you. He loves you SO much and He's waiting for you to accept His invitation to well with Him, to abide with Him, to make a permanent home inside of your heart where He is allowed to be who He is in every part of your life - To take you on adventures, to go on the country back roads and show you things that make His heart go wild - He wants to show you YOUR beauty, how valuable you are to Him, how you satisfy a place in His heart that no one else can. This in the God that created you, He lives INSIDE of you. He is alive, He's real, He has emotions and feelings, thoughts and dreams and desires. He is SO good and wants to pour all of Himself fin every part of your life. He's waiting for you to give Him to go-ahead. To REALLY surrender it all. Not just with your mouth, but with you heart - your mind, your soul and your spirit. A daily surrender to the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. It's definitely much easier said than done. But it's worth every single thing you could ever sacrifice. Because this is where TRUE living, abundant life, begins - at a place of allowing Jesus to do everything in you that He came and died for. He tore the veil so we could commune with Him, so we could be in constant prayer and communication with Him. How sad would it be to reject this amazing gift that our Papa has given us? And what a beautiful gift of life it is. And I PROMISE you... Whatever it is He is calling you to lay down - does not even compare to the reward He has to give you for your obedience.
I am so thankful for Him. I am so thankful for His goodness. I believe when we truly arrive at the place where all we "know" of God in our minds, to be TRUTH & REALITY in our hearts, to where we FULLY believe above anything else that He is GOOD and His desire is for US... The freedom and joy we will receive is far beyond what we ever believed to be possible and the life we live will begin to completely shatter any doubts and lies we've given into... and abundant life will become our reality.
His plans are perfect. I desire to follow Him no matter the cost, because I know that whatever He has for me has not even crossed my mind because they are so great and so worthy of anything I would give up. He knows us. He knows me so well. He knows you better than you know yourself. He places the desires in your heart. HE had the desires first!! And He also has a plan to fulfill them. So don't lose hope. Don't give up. He knows what He's doing, He knows where you've come from, where you are, and who you are. He also has a perfect time for everything - and a perfect place for it too. He isn't holding anything from you. He's holding it FOR you, so when the perfect time and place comes, your heart will overflow with the love of the Father and thankfulness for how good He is.
So I will say all of this to encourage you; there is so much more. The longing in your heart for more, the craving in your bones for adventure, the deep inside of you crying out for the deep of the Father... It's all in His doing. It's all in His plan to woe you into the deepest places of Abba's heart... To go on the adventure of a life time that never ends - But only becomes more breath-taking. None of it is your doing, it all in His coming, it's all in His timing, It's all in His love... It's all because He loves you THAT much and desires every single part of you. You light the Kings heart on fire. The pleasure of the Father is all over you, and His favor is thick and light... resting ever so beautifully upon your life.
