Amsterdam Outreach - Exciting News!

I absolutely love being able to share exciting news with you, and that is what I have today!!  As you can see from the picture above, there is a bit of traveling in the new future for me.  And, if you have been on any other forms of media you have seen my posts about a trip to Amsterdam in March!
I have been in The Leadership Track for just under a year now, and as leadership has prayed, they have felt the Lord call them to take an outreach as a group every 3 months, and I get to be a part of the first one!  The idea to go to Amsterdam was a word that was given to the Leadership Track by Loren & Darlene Cunningham and a few other key leaders on the YWAM base here in Kona.  As they were going over places where we had teams going consistently, they felt a tug on their hearts to send more people into Amsterdam, and asked us to take it on.  Needless to say, we are very excited to see what the Lord is going to do through us!  Here are a few objectives to our trip:
  • Meet with Key Leaders in the city to possibly start Fire & Fragrance DTS' there in the very near future
  • Building relationships to prepare the way for future YWAM teams to be in Amsterdam months at a time
  • Going into the 3 Red-Light Districts to minister to the prostitutes who have been victims of sex-trafficking.
  • Doing prayer watches in the 24-7 house of prayer in the middle of the Red-Light District
  • Working with the organization Serve The City Amsterdam

The more I think & pray about what this trip is suppose to hold, my spirit gets so excited!  We all have felt that we are going to be a "strike team" as we go in.  We have a mission, to revive hearts & bring life to the dead.  We want our lives to be a witness to all those around us.  We realize that our time in Amsterdam is a short 2.5 weeks, but there is such an expectation in our spirits for what the Lord is going to do!! When the Lord calls a people to a place, there is more that He can do in one day than we could do in 7 years without Him.  And the call of the Lord on this trip has been immense!!
I know that this is the Lord by many different signs, but one of them has been the financial provision over all of us.  In just 2 weeks I was able to raise over half of the money I needed for the outreach, which is amazing!  I was also able to watch my leaders, who have a family of 5, have had over $11,000 given to them within 2 weeks!  The stories go on and on of how the Lord has been so faithful to provide for this trip.  We are all getting very stirred!
So on March 11th, I will be flying to Amsterdam, which will be my first time to Europe.  I also have the opportunity to go to a couple other places in Europe when we are done.  We have 2 week break before we have to be back to base for the April quarter of schools.  Between March 28th and April 11th, I will be traveling with a few friends to Scotland, Wales, Ireland, and London.  Those two weeks will be filled with seeing a handful of friends that I have not seen in quite some time, visiting other YWAM bases around Europe, investing in friendships, and continuing to dig the wells of our hearts for what the Lord has for all of us in the upcoming months.

I want to personally thank all of you for investing in not only this trip, but investing in the dreams the Lord has put inside of me.  You have each been a testimony of Gods faithfulness, and a sign & a wonder to my own life.  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for obeying the Lord is the biggest and simplest ways.  You have been a part of a story with Jesus that is so priceless.  While we are in Europe I will try to update this as much as I can to keep you in the loop.  If you would like to receive email updates (which may be more frequent), please contact me at oceansroar@gmail.com and I will put you on there!
If any of you still feel led to give and would like to invest in the rest of this trip, I only need $500 for all the housing, food & transportation while on outreach in Amsterdam.  Please email me at the address above and I will give you multiple options for giving!

God bless you all, have a beautiful week!

Whirlwind!

The only word to describe this past week would be whirlwind.  I couldn't explain to you all thats happened, but I will try!  At the beginning of the week, I was planning on moving to Wilmington NC with my best friend.  Well, I walk into work on Tuesday and receive an opportunity for a promotion, to be one of the Office Managers.  I am sure you can imagine my surprise at this, especially since I have only been employed there a little over 2 months.  I knew this was the Lords favor, so I decided to pray about it.  On Thursday night, I was praying and really just wanted the Lord to only make one thing go right, this way the decision was easy.  But I knew that He wasn't do that, and part of it was so that I would really seek His heart, receive His perspective, and go after His face in this time.  So this past weekend i went to Wilmington with my parents and younger brother.  It was such a fantastic time for all of us, and the Lord really began to speak a few things.  During my time Thursday night & the weekend on Wilmington, the Lord spoke a lot, but it wasn't on direction; it was about my heart.  He brought me back to many journals entries, over 6 months ago, about seeking His face and that He would give me clarity when I had to make decisions.  He spoke about how my heart is the most important thing, to guard it & to go after the things in it with all that I have.  Over the weekend my dad asked me a question, "Lizzie, if you could go anywhere and do anything, if peoples opinions didn't stop you and you really went where you were fully alive, where would you go?" Immediately my heart knew, "Hawaii".  The thought of this scared me a little bit, because I was nervous that I would use Hawaii as my crutch, but then the Lord revealed to me that that was part of the reason I stayed home.  He has used this six months to ground my faith, to stir up my hunger for His heart, and my roots have been brought deep into His soil.  All of the fear was erased and He brought hope to my heart again.

My heart for the nations cannot be described, and when I get around people who have that same heart beat, I come alive.  I was made for something more than the ordinary, I was truly made to thrive in the extraordinary & the supernatural.  I believe the Lord has put a desire in my heart, that for this season, will be quenched while being in Hawaii.   I will be on staff with Fire & Fragrance and will be joining some of my best friends on the Leadership Track they run on campus.  Some of this will include: prayer room staff, ministry into the town of Kona, serving the campus in needed areas, staffing DTS, staffing schools and leading outreaches, participating with another pioneer community, teaching in schools, and ministry trips.  The point of this track is to raise up a generation sold out for the Lord, living a lifestyle of honor and respect, worship and intimacy with the Lord.  It will be an intense season of seeking the Lord for the present and the future and investing in relationships as well as training and preparing for all He has for my life!!  I am extremely excited and expectant of what will happen and all the Father will be doing during this season & I cannot wait to see it all unfold.

At the moment, I will be leaving for Hawaii at the end of this month.  I am still in need of a plane ticket so that date isn't sure yet.  I will also need a minimum $600 a month in support.  This will include all of my living expenses; housing & food, gas for transportation, and other necessities.  If you feel the Lord putting it on your heart to support me either monthly or one time, please feel free to call me at 704 724 1175 or email me at oceansroar@gmail.com.

Thank you so much for all of your support and prayers.  God bless you!

Ending A Season Victoriously!

Wow!  I am the worse blogger in the world.  It's been well over 2 months since I have written you, and I am super duper sorry!  I have no good excuse except doing the Lords work ;) haha.
How is everybody?  I feel I need a followers update on your hearts & lives back home and around me.

Things here have been absolutely fantastic & and I am completely filled with the joy, love, and faithfulness of my Father.  I just returned back to Kona from Irvine, California.  A lot of things have changed since I last talk to you, so I will get you updated just a bit!
We headed off to California on the first lovely day of July.  We lost housing 24 hours before we boarded the plane, and really didn't know what to do except pray, so we did!  Within that 24 hours, we received a phone call 20 minutes before we boarded the plane, saying we could stay the whole 7 weeks with a family who are pastors of Newsong Church in Irvine.  We headed out, and soon came to the obstacle of no transportation, but yet again! the Lord provided.  The family let us rent out their van from them for the whole time we were there.  We were blown away and so encouraged for what the Lord had for us!  As the weeks continued, the stories didn't change.  Yes we had our ups & downs, our highs & lows, but nothing could take us down.  We were strong & committed to the word of the Lord to be in California.  About 4 weeks in my co-leader, Kellye, and I felt the Lord nudging in our spirits to stay in California (we had originally planned to finish the 4 weeks of outreach in New York City).  After praying with our leaders, bringing it to the team, we were all in complete agreement this was from the Lord & we decided to stay.  Thank goodness we listened because let me tell you, those last 3 weeks in California were the best of all outreach!
We had the privilege of joining the Circuit Riders for the last 2 weeks we were there, for as much as we could.  We still stayed with our normal ministries, but used all of our free time to be involved in what the Lord was doing in & through them.  To read more about who they are & what they are doing, go to the Fire & Fragrance - Circuit Riders website).  We were able to be a part of over 100 salvations in 4 days, over 50 healings, mass revelation & downpour of the Holy Spirit daily for 2 full weeks!  Every night we ended on Huntington Beach at the Hilton Hotel.  They rented out a big white tent & each night it was bombarded with drug addicts, atheists, the broken, the lost, the homeless & the hurting and all, in one way or another, encountered the love of Jesus.  It was a powerful time.
On September 3rd at 7am we boarded a plane and flew back to Kona, our home sweet home with our big Call2All family.  And man has it been refreshing!  We all spent the first night back together eating pizza, drinking sodas, having a party & sharing stories.

So now it is Monday & tomorrow we are starting our debrief week.  This is where we share even more stories & testimonies, hear each others hearts more in depth, and share in the victory of all that the Lord did on outreach & the past 6 months we have been together.  It's basically like a family reunion for a week straight, super fun!  The students will graduate on the 21st of September and then we are done!  I cannot believe it's already been almost 8 months since I arrived here & 6 months since the school started.  The consistent thread throughout this whole time has been the faithfulness of the Lord over our school. Time & time again He proved Himself worthy of ALL praise & worship.  Something all of my girls said at the end of the outreach was "We have completely fallen in love with the man Jesus, and have no reason not to give our whole lives to Him."  If that is all I saw through this whole thing, it would have been worth it... Because if we do not have that as the foundation, nothing else matters.  But! we saw even more than that... Because we had that foundation everything just began to overflow out of that place of intimacy with Jesus.  HE IS SO GOOD!
I am incredibly encouraged, lifted up, walking victorious in Jesus & what He says.  I am in love & overwhelmed with His goodness to ALL of His children.

I apologize this is so short, but I would love to tell more of the stories in person.  Thank you to every single person who invested in this time in my life.  Whether you gave financially, or prayed, or just thought about us on our journey, it was all needed & I am deeply deeply thankful for your investment.  The Father will bless you immensely for being a part.

God bless!

One Day Away!!!

Well... in just a little over 24 hours I will be boarding a plane and headed to L.A. !!  I am super super excited, a little nervous, but more excited than anything.  I kind of don't know what to expect.  I've never done intentional ministry anywhere but 3rd world countries, and I've also never even been to California... So this is going to be quite interesting!! :)  God knows what He's doing and all I can do is put all of hope & trust in Him because time and time again He's proven Himself worthy!

Before we headed out I wanted to introduce you to my team more properly.  Enjoy this beautiful photos taken by my friend here, Josie Farrior.

LA & NY Here We Come!!!

Wow.  Has it really already been 3 months since I started this journey?  I honestly cannot believe it.  In ways it seems like it just started last week, in other ways it feel like I've been doing this forever.  Regardless of what it feels most like, I wouldn't trade a second of it for anything.  I've learned so much, I've grown so much and been set free in so many different ways and depths and it's only just begun really!

I am sitting on my couch right now in my room with so many emotions running through me... 2 of my roommates and fellow staffers have already left, one to Kenya & the other to the Philippines.  Brazil has already been invaded with a team as well... In just a few 4 days I will be leaving as well.

                                                 My Co-Leader & I, Kellye Vetter
On Wednesday I will be landing in Los Angeles leading a team of 5 amazing woman (Rosemary, Jamie, Rami, Erin, & Nali) with my co-leader Kellye Vetter.  in L.A. we will be going to universities, setting up Open Mic Nights at cafe's, street evangelism, working with orphans and prostitutes, hanging out and worshiping in parks, loving on the homeless and the wealthy all with a heart to love those who have never seen true love, to bring a heart of Kingdom Family into a dry & thirsty land, to set the captives free, heal the sick & raise the dead... We want to live the abundant life we have been given through grace by Jesus Christ everywhere we go... to set ourselves on fire with the love of Christ and allow the world to watch us burn.  After 7 weeks of that, we will transition and fly to New York!!  Our heart is the same for this place, although it will look a little different.  We are partnering up with Models of Christ and working at the Fall Fashion Week.  Some of us will be back stage dressing models, others of us will be interning with photographers and bloggers and also getting into the shows. During this week we will be hosting a burn & partnering up with 3 other YWAM teams to set the tone of the love of the Father to flood through this week.  We will be in NY a total for 4 weeks.  Then we head home!!

That's the outline, but doesn't even scratch the surface of what Jesus will do.  We are expectant to see crazy crazy things happen and aren't afraid to pray faith filled prayers of craziness.  We love Jesus and want to live like it and see other people transformed by it.  It's that's simple and that amazing.  We are so stoked! I am so stoked!!

Please partner with us in prayer if you want to!  America is a hard place, hungry and thirsty for truth, and we fully believe we are entering into these major lands at a perfect time when the people are ripe for Jesus and we cannot wait to see what it looks like.  Thank you all for your prayers thus far!
Please continue following this blog as we travel and I will also post another link soon for our Team Blog that will be updated weekly.

I love you all and miss you a lot!!!

Victory.Revelation.Freedom....Jesus!

You know when you feel like if you felt any better, you might just explode?  That's kind of what's been going on in my life.  Day after day, more freedom.  Day after day, more victory.  Day after day, more revelation.  Day after day, more Jesus.  I don't think I could live any other way.  And I see the students that are in this school catching on to it.  So many come from different places, all around the globe, in all different areas & stages of their life.... But they are catching a glimpse of the Fathers heart for them, and it's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen.  To see broken, hungry & thirsty children of God eat the bread of LIFE and drink of His blood that totally wrecks them anything else but the Father, it makes my heart feel things I have never felt before.  I catch myself continually saying/thinking "I just can't believe it. Is this real?"  If you would have told me a year ago I would be this alive, this free, this full, this healed, this liberated, this full of Jesus and this in love with Him, leading people in amazing breakthrough, making incredible friends with 45 people as we do life together and find freedom in Jesus... I probably would have not believed in my heart that it was possible, although it was fully what I wanted.  And now, here I sit, with all of that to be true and it continues to pour in, as I continue to pour out.

I apologize for not writing sooner.  I love to write, and you all know that.  It's just... A lot of what is going on, I find a hard time putting words to it.  He is the indescribable one, so I figure if He is, than the manifestations of who He is would be also, right? Right.
I feel like the best way to share with you is maybe to just state a few things that have become Truth to me, in my heart, in the past couple of weeks.  I hope & believe that you will find freedom in Jesus through them, and as you breathe in who He is, I know you will look more like Him, act more like Him, smell more like Him, and live more like Him... And who wouldn't desire that?

  • In my weakness He is made strong:  Day in and day out, the more I think about Him... the more that I think on things that are of eternal worth, the more I CHOOSE to walk in who He has made me to be, the more happier I truly am.  Not a happy on the surface (although it seems to just pour out), but more so the joy that I have on the inside... It has been rooted in my heart, not by my experience (for if it was because of experience I might be sad), but by the Lord being Lord over my heart, over my life, and it's the only way I know how to live when He begins to be everything in me.  It sometimes that I can rely on.  I cannot put my hope on things below, but rather on things above.  Things here will disappoint: people, money, songs, experiences, coffee (haha).  In the end, as I allow myself to be broken, as I embrace to rawness & transparency, as I allow the Father to humble me... He is given the most glory, HE is able to show His strength because I am not trying to prove my strength, which is none compared to His.  This is where true live begins to be experienced... When I give up my life completely for the life of Christ.  "To live is Christ, to die is gain."

  • I am worth it because He loves me:  God knew what He was doing when He made me.  He didn't mess up.  He didn't do something wrong, and He didn't even second guess Himself.  No, instead.... He loved what He made so much that He took me in as His own.  He knew that my value was of so much that He, before I was even born, sent His son so that we could walk in communion & intimacy with each other, not just for "as long as we both shall live" but rather for eternity!  Now if that is not love, if He does not think I am fully worth it... I honestly don't know what else would say that.  He loves me, because He loves me, because He loves me... and because of that, I am worth it... I am worth the fight, I am worth the tribulation, I am worth the love, I am worth the obedience and sacrifice... I have enormous value.  He LOVES me, with a 1 Corinthians 13 love.  Thank you Jesus!

  • Only Jesus satisfies:  As many of you know my story, you also know it's been one of a lot of searching for satisfaction in the least of satisfactory things.  Some of us go through it more extreme than others, and some of us more evident than others, but I believe it comes out in everyone sometime or another, whether big or little things.  I believe a lot of the reason it happens is because Jesus wants us to CHOOSE Him.  He doesn't want to be loved or sought after because it's the "christian" thing to do, but rather He desires our love to be raw and pure so much that He gives us a choice.  And sometimes we don't choose Him.  But, I have fully chosen Him.  And this season that I've been in here has been a realization that nothing else satisfies but the King alone.  It all starts with Christ, and it all ends with Christ.  There is no one else, there no other thing.... No dream, no vision, no future, no man, no lifestyle, no beverage, no drug, no addiction, no song, no instrument.... Nothing. Else. Satisfies.  It feels so good to say it, and know that it's what my heart truly believes now.  I would have never said before that He doesn't satisfy, but in my heart... I was searching.  I was searching for a place to go to FEEL Him, but sometimes, it's not about the feeling.  Actually, it's never about the feeling.  I believe He gives us the feeling, and I'm so thankful He does because it's a blessing.  But it's about a choice to love, It's about a choice to believe, It's about a choice to walk it out, It's about a choice to answer to the one who first called us, to love back the one who first loved us.  We didn't do anything, He did it all... And He gives us a chance to respond to His wooing.  What a faithful God, a loving Friend, a true Father He is.

  • A Future Decision: After a series of events, and praying about a few different things... The Lord brought peace to my heart after one night of spending time at His feet.  I simply heard Him say after I was searching through different things to do after this DTS, "Why do you continue to rule out staying here?"  I didn't realize that I had done that, I just didn't even think that it was a possibility, haha.  Then I felt Him say "This place is a green house for you spiritually, would you stay if I asked you to?"  As soon as I heard Him say that, it was like my heart took a big sigh.  I felt relief, I felt joy, I felt bliss in the Father and I knew in my heart it was the best thing for me.  He knows what I need, He knows what I want... And as I align myself with Him, a lot of the time those two line up as well.  So I have decided to come back, after the beginning of the year (2012), and spend two years here.  I imagine I will be coming home within those 2 years, but I don't know when or how (depending on financial things).  I will be working with Ronda & Aaron Barker (who I am working with now, and who have become family to me in so many amazing ways).  As it gets closer to the next season I will have more of an idea of what that looks like, but at this point I'm pretty positive it means staffing another DTS next April.  As I know more in detail, I will make sure to include you in on that :).  I am so excited for what the Lord has.  HE is faithful!!  I am so blessed, I am so full of His heart for me, and for those around me.  This is life.  He has come to give us abundant life and I KNOW I've online began to see a little bit of how that is played out in my life.

You are all amazing.  I hope you are blessed, that you are filled with Jesus and that you experience Him every day in new ways, in old ways, in crazy ways, in subtle ways.... In every way that He chooses to fill your life :).

Tsunami In Kona, Hawaii

Hey guys!!

I hope you are having a wonderful week and a great start to the weekend. I wanted to officially update you on everything that's happened in the past 24 hours or so.

As you probably know Japan was hit with an incredible 8.9 earthquake, followed by a Tsunami. The damage that was done is immense. It's really sad to watch the videos. On campus we have a lot of students who are either from Japan or have family who live there. The reality of it has been intense with so many people having such close relatives in the midst of it.
Because of what happened there, and Japan having over 12 aftershocks, over 50 countries were given a Tsunami Warning. Hawaii was one of the places. I do not know what the other islands look like, but I do know a little bit about Kona.

Where University Of The Nations YWAM is located is at the top of a hill. We are considered one of the Government Safe Zones. They tell people downtown to come here for safety when things like this happen. So thankfully we were in a safe place naturally & we were surrounded by so much prayer. I walked into the prayer room and so many people were there, interceding for Japan & Hawaii. It was a very comforting environment to be in when people were freaking out. I thought it was interesting how I just posted 2 blogs about fear & the peace of the Lord. It was so good to read back over those in the midst of it all and know that I had no reason to fear, Gods peace was thick in my heart.
I went to bed around 4am. When I woke up at 9am, I didn't know anything had happened until I got into Facebook and there were pictures. I was not able to get downtown because they are now blocking it off, but I will share some pictures that my friends shared. We are fine. Everyone is protected & safe. I do not know of anybody in Kona who was hurt, which is such a miracle of the Lord... He is SO faithful! There was some minor damage done downtown, but other than that we are good. It could have been so much worse and I am so thankful for Gods protection over us.

Thank you so much for everybody who followed what was going on and for keeping us in your prayers. God is good, truly good.
Please continue to pray for Japan & the other places that were hit. I cannot even imagine the sorrow and destruction that is there right now. They need Jesus so much, pray for salvation & for God to sweep in as the amazing comforter, protector, & redeemer that He is. God bless you!

The Lord is my Light

The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?

Can we just take this out of the Bible for a second? No... I don't mean like literally remove it, I mean can we just throw down all of our past disappointments with reading and not receiving, with trying & not getting anywhere... I want to read this, for what it is, not for what I've always thought of it to be. I have this problem, well... I speak in faith that I've had this problem of reading the Bible and NOTHING happening. I mean lets be honest, we've all been there. It sucks. It's annoying. And it's a curse that I believe has been placed on generations, and needs to be broken. We try to read the Bible and automatically something shuts off either in our minds or hearts and it's just hard to get anywhere. I've dealt with it for as long as I can remember. Well, I've come into a new season where I actually desire to read the Word. Haha, it seems silly when I actually say it, but it's the Truth. So now... Let's pretend you've never heard the Word, you've never struggled with doubt or disbelief. Lets put ourselves as children, before Truth, soaking it up, with no room for anything else but what we are told. This is fact...
The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear?

Jesus says that He is my light. When there is light, there is no darkness. Darkness does not have room where there is light. It is impossible for things to be hidden where there is light. So if I am in a room with light and I am not afraid of the hidden things because there are no hidden things, because I can see clearly everything that may have been hidden before... How much more the light of Christ who is inside of me, who is inside of you. I will not be afraid because Christ, my Lord resides in ME. And He IS light. He is THE light. So wherever I go, that light goes. And where that light goes, darkness cannot. Fear is darkness. Sin is darkness. I am the light of the world [Matthew 5:14] because Christ is inside of me. So with this in mind, fear & sin and whatever else that is not of Jesus cannot have any authority in my life because I have been set free from sin. And I know that who the son sets free, is free indeed [John 8:36]. I abound in full freedom. The Lord doesn't set us half way free, He sets us FULLY free. There are different levels of that freedom, but He doesn't just start something and walk off. Whoever He sets free, is truly free.
So... now that we have the revelation that Christ is Light, and we are the light of the world... We choose. We choose to walk it out. It is my choice to daily believe the truth and to not only agree with it, but to also choose it above anything else - regardless of circumstance or situation. I walk in the light because the light lives inside of me.

I want to encourage you today, this next week, this next month... Choose the Light. Choose light above every other choice. In you choosing light, you are choosing Christ. In you choosing Christ, you are choosing Light. And there is such freedom awaiting you in this!

The 4 F's...

Free Freedom From Fear

Today I was hit with a revelation....

Throughout this past week, the Lord has been doing a lot in my heart (which I pray will be the case from now and always).
As some of you know (if you go to my church and/or get the prayer chain), I was experiencing some really intense attacks from the enemy through my dreams. I won't go into much detail, because my intent is not to make satan intriguing at all, but rather tell you of how powerful the Lord is, over any situation. The things occurring in the dreams were things that I've had fear of, as long as I can remember. Things that have haunted me, and been placed in deep deep places of me and couldn't break free of. It created a root of fear in me, that no matter how I tried always seemed to linger in me wherever I went, whoever I was with, whatever I was doing. I've had ideas of what the fear could have stemmed from, but I didn't care... because the bottom line is I knew that Jesus is King, that LOVE casts out all fear, and that God IS love... so if I have Him dwelling inside of ME, then that means fear has no room to reside.
After a couple nights of experiencing these horrifying dreams, of waking up crying and not being able to fall asleep, of shaking in my bed & not being able to shake it... I went to my leaders and asked for some prayer. The prayer turned into about an hour of them breaking off curses (generational and non) and prophesying over me, speaking LIFE & TRUTH into the places that were now freed of death & lies. I cannot express to you the freedom I felt, the joy I felt, the ... I can't even tell you, really. haha. It was so far beyond anything I'd experienced before, it was good... it was purely the goodness of Jesus over me, His delight in me overflowing, and me receiving all that He did through the cross & resurrection, for all that it was worth. Not only did I feel super free & empty of the evil, but FULL of life and full of the truth... and I also got to experience the fullness of what community is suppose to look like, and what family was designed to be. It was incredible. A day that is forever marked in my heart. (If you are experiencing any of this, please write me and I'd love to talk to you more about it and pray with you!!)
Since that day, I have not experienced any fear - ANY. I mean, I really can't tell you how much fear was removed from my life. Things like fear of not being able to figure out what to wear, to fear of being kidnapped... fear of loosing my life, fear of all my friends leaving me, fear of non of them really being friends... I mean it was deep, and it was in everything... NOT ANYMORE! God is good, and He loves to lavish His children with what they were meant to have... and I was meant to live in freedom. I also have not been attacked with any dreams. I have been speaking truth over me, digging into the Word, and covering myself with the words of Jesus. Some of the verses I have been meditating & dwelling on are:
-"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You." - Isaiah 26:3
-"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:7
-"perfect love casts out fear." - 1 John 4:18
-"Fear not, for I am with you." - Isaiah 43:3
-"Isaiah 42:5-9"
-"Psalm 91"

It's really amazing what the Lord will do when you immerse your mind in the word.. He totally transforms it, and that's the reality of what this week has been... HUGE transformation & renewing of the mind FAR beyond anything I even believed could happen, it's amazing.

I share all of this to encourage you. ANYTHING you are dealing with, and I literally do mean EVERYTHING, can be transformed by God... and He has something in it. Even if it's awful, His desire is to reveal His goodness through it. He didn't wish it upon you, but He has allowed you to go through it. I believe for a couple reasons (in my own life at least). He trusts us, HE TRUSTS US... Ridiculous right? It's true. He trusts YOU. He knows that you are strong in Him, and He wants you to learn even deeper how to rely on Him for everything. Because HE is the strongest when we are the weakest, and He gets the most glory. And He loves you, and without the struggle, He would get no glory & you would receive no authority.
Press into Jesus. PRESS IN. More than anything else you press in. Because unless we sacrifice something, there is nothing for Him to burn, nothing to set ablaze. And He desires for you to be in fire, to live in the Fire of God, because that's part of our inheritance as children. He's so good isn't He!?

Okay so now onto the revelation that I had today! I'm just going to write out exactly what I wrote in my journal. Eat it, Drink it, Soak it in... let Abba speak more to you in it. I love you all. Miss you. Wish you all could be in Hawaii with me. You are welcome to visit anytime!!

"Jesus treats us based on what He knows about us, based on who He knows we are... Not based on our knowledge of Him. He treats us as children seated in heavenly places, regardless if we believe we are or not. He is constantly calling us into a higher place."

Go in peace & love.

ps. Thank you to everybody who prayed for me during this time, and are continuing to pray. The Lord is so faithful and He hears you!!

The Force Of The Elijah Ministry

So this week as part of our staff training, we are reading "The Force Of The Elijah Ministry". It's 22 pages, and every page is fire. This is one excerpt from it that really grabbed my heart. Just take 3-5 minutes and soak it in.

"The following text is from Michael Brown's 'Called to Die' video, inviting us to a total commitment to Jesus. This provoking message fuels our dedicating to the "Elijah army" into which God is calling us:

Amy Carmichael (who died in the 18th century; a mission to India) makes some interesting comments: She said, regarding New Testament miracles and transformation of cities, "No wonder New Testament living has ceased. Satan is so much more in earnest then we are. He buys up the opportunity while we were wondering how much it would cost."

Richward Wormbrough was tortured for his faith during 14 years in Romania. He said, "extremism should be the norm for Christians. Every day as we watch the news, we see that sin is exceedingly sinful. It can be defeated only by exceeding love, joy, hope and self-sacrifice. God Himself does not give with measure."

The devil, world sin, terrorists, and false religions are not holding anything back. Why are we? We have eternal life! We are indwelt by the Spirit! Why are we holding back?

Leonard Ravenhill asks, "Are the things you are living for worth Christ dying for?"

The Bible calls us soldiers. Paul writes to Timothy, "Endure harship as a good solider of Christ Jesus." In the military you are no longer your own. You can be sent to the front lines or sent anywhere. That is life as a soldier.

John Hyde, a famous prayer warrior said, "Obedience. I know how a soldier will obey an order even unto death. I cannot expect to look Jesus Christ in the face and obey Him less than a soldier his commander."

We are called to be soldiers. Islamic nations have one worker for one million souls. If we are going to see our generation come to Jesus, we are going to have to give ourselves to the workd of God. I am going to encourage you tonight, by a total call to commitment, to full surrender, to totally step out. I want you to consider that around the world Christians are suffering things that are unbelieable; that between 100,000 and 300,000 believers have been killed annually for many years now.

In Sudan alone, 1.5 million Christians have been slaughtered for their faith by radical Muslims. It is common for Sudanese men to be crucified, nailed to trees right now in our own day. Boys are taken to learn in Islamic school - to learn in chains. Girls are taken and sol into prostitution, otherwise they are sold into slavery. This is happening every day, and yet I think I am a hero when I get up early or come to a prayer meeting.

Famous Story from Vietnam: "Pastor was killed and the wife was sent a bill for the bullet that was used."

Friends, we have to step back and say, "It's time to change. It's time to shift gears. It's time for us to adjust our mentality." Gone must be the days that we watch TV more than we pray. Gone are the days that we are on the internet or read newspapers more than we read the Word. Gone are the days where months and months go by without quality witnessing. Gone are the days when months go by without tears for the lost. Gone the day when months go by without the church burning for souls. Those days must be gone. The days must be utterly trashed when sports scores about our home time team winning or losing, or the arrival of the new computer, get us excited, but if eternal things don't matter, those days are gone.

How serious are you about seeing The Great Commission fulfilled? How serious are you about revival fired spreading to the ends of the earth? How many hold in your hands an English Bible? Do you know what it cost to get you that Bible? Tyndale was killed. Am I willing to give my life? You know who wins the battle: The army that is willing to die for the principles they stand for.

William Burns: "The evangelization of the world is a desperate struggle against the prince of darkness, and everything his rage can stir up in the shape of obstacles, vexation, and opposition, whether by circumstance or by the hand of man."

He said it is a desperate struggle, a serious task. It should mean a life of total dedication. William Burns, a great man of God, gave his life for China: "Believe me, it is not with folded hands and drowsy consciences, and hearts full of he cares of this life, but denying ourselves, taking up the cross, bearing the reproach, and following the Lamb wherever He goes, that I give my life."

I want to challenge you to ask yourself the tough questions tonight. I am going to ask you to make a living sacrifice. Your life is not your own. It is time to tally change your attitude.

John and Betty Stam trained for years to go to China with a young baby, and wrote this incredible entry "Afraid of What?" int their journal just before they were killed for their faith:

Afraid of what? To feel the Spirit's glad release
To pass from pain to perfect peace,
the strife and strain of life to cease.
Afraid of that!

Afraid of what? Afraid to see the Savior's face,
to hear His welcome and to trace
the glory from wounds of grace.
Afraid of that!

Afraid of what? A flash, a crash, a pierced heart,
darkness, light, a wound,
Afraid of that!

Afraid of what? To do by death what life could not;
baptized by blood, a stony plot
til souls shall blossom from the spot.
Afraid of that!

James B. Taylor said - and I close - with this: "The world may frown, Satan may rage. But go on: live for God. May I die in the filed of battle!"
