If We Will Listen, We Will Obtain

It had been about 28-30 hours into this feeling, that hour by hour continued to overtake me.  My kindness began to wear thin, my patience was failing, dis-gratitude and annoyance grew thick, and I was growing weary, quick.  All desire to invest in people was quickly disappearing and all I wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep it away.  I tried everything in the book.  Physically, I drank tons of water and I tried resting, I took a shower to see if that would calm my heart down.  Anxiety just grew, and nothing I was doing was helping.  I broke off, rebuked, repented, asked for prayer from a few close friends.  I filled myself up with truth, and declared the love of God over my heart.

Over the past week, I have been crying out for more hunger.  I have been pressing in for fresh revelation, from the Holy Spirit Himself, not through other peoples revelation.  I am tired of it being easy, and I was getting sick of not having to press in.  So I cried out.  I asked God for hunger; over, and over, and over again.  I desperately needed, not just an experience of God being close, but an awakening in my spirit to the reality of the goodness of God, and the reality of my weak self, so in need of a Savior.  I hate living in a robot mentality... from meeting to meeting, prayer set to worship set, intercession to contending, then a meeting, then worship, eat and sleep a little, have a little fun, intercession, worship.... It was become a routine, rather than a desperate cry for more.

I decided to go home and really get with God.  I needed to just seek Him, with only the sounds of birds and the wisp of the breeze.  So I did.  And in the midst of my wrestling inside, I felt Him speak to me...
"What if every action you did, brought in the Kingdom?  What if you lived a life where nothing hindered my presence?  What if this feeling never left; would you still seek me?  What if fear never entered your heart, and you lived - day in and day out, in that state?  What if you asked me first in every feeling what I wanted to reveal?  Beloved, I am teaching you to fight for yourself."  And in that moment I realized He was answering my prayers, and breaking my box of How I thought He was going to do it.  Hunger is refreshing & beautiful, in all it's messiness.

A dear friend of mine, dealing with somewhat of the same thing, said this, "Sometimes I am always fighting for others, that I forget to fight for myself."  Instantly I had a picture of Jesus, leaving the disciples, to get alone with God.  I believe part of that was Him fighting for Himself, for His own heart, for Truth to be resounding in every aspect of who He was, and that He would have the mind of the Father above His own.
I feel sometimes we get so caught up in believing things are from the enemy, that we discount the fact that, through everything, the Father wants to reveal His heart to His children.  I felt His spirit come upon me and I literally stopped in my tracks as He said "If you would quiet yourself, and listen, you will obtain much."  And even in the struggle within me, I choose to still my heart before Him... And though I did not "feel" still, I knew my spirit was ready to listen.  And a cry within my heart resounded "I will do anything Jesus."

I always want to be broken before Him, and aware of my need for Him.  I never want to be in a place where I think the methods I have used in the past will cure every situation.  I want my heart to be molded by His methods, not my own.  And although He is always constant, His way of doing things changes all the time.  I believe He does this so we don't start thinking it's our own selves alone that bring things to pass, but that He is always above... For we only know and see in part, but He knows the whole - from beginning to end.  And "He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion."

I believe He always wants to reveal things to us, but I believe we are on soil ground with the Father right now.  I think it's a very important time to press into His voice, to throw off our own rights and entitlements for things to go a certain way, and really listen to what He has to say for this time.  He has fresh bread, fresh revelation, and fresh wisdom & strategy for the age we are in.  We are being prepared for things far greater than we could understand, and He will be faithful to clothe us with the armor we need, because of our faithfulness and obedience to yield to Him, to His voice, and to His timing for things.

Ending A Season Victoriously!

Wow!  I am the worse blogger in the world.  It's been well over 2 months since I have written you, and I am super duper sorry!  I have no good excuse except doing the Lords work ;) haha.
How is everybody?  I feel I need a followers update on your hearts & lives back home and around me.

Things here have been absolutely fantastic & and I am completely filled with the joy, love, and faithfulness of my Father.  I just returned back to Kona from Irvine, California.  A lot of things have changed since I last talk to you, so I will get you updated just a bit!
We headed off to California on the first lovely day of July.  We lost housing 24 hours before we boarded the plane, and really didn't know what to do except pray, so we did!  Within that 24 hours, we received a phone call 20 minutes before we boarded the plane, saying we could stay the whole 7 weeks with a family who are pastors of Newsong Church in Irvine.  We headed out, and soon came to the obstacle of no transportation, but yet again! the Lord provided.  The family let us rent out their van from them for the whole time we were there.  We were blown away and so encouraged for what the Lord had for us!  As the weeks continued, the stories didn't change.  Yes we had our ups & downs, our highs & lows, but nothing could take us down.  We were strong & committed to the word of the Lord to be in California.  About 4 weeks in my co-leader, Kellye, and I felt the Lord nudging in our spirits to stay in California (we had originally planned to finish the 4 weeks of outreach in New York City).  After praying with our leaders, bringing it to the team, we were all in complete agreement this was from the Lord & we decided to stay.  Thank goodness we listened because let me tell you, those last 3 weeks in California were the best of all outreach!
We had the privilege of joining the Circuit Riders for the last 2 weeks we were there, for as much as we could.  We still stayed with our normal ministries, but used all of our free time to be involved in what the Lord was doing in & through them.  To read more about who they are & what they are doing, go to the Fire & Fragrance - Circuit Riders website).  We were able to be a part of over 100 salvations in 4 days, over 50 healings, mass revelation & downpour of the Holy Spirit daily for 2 full weeks!  Every night we ended on Huntington Beach at the Hilton Hotel.  They rented out a big white tent & each night it was bombarded with drug addicts, atheists, the broken, the lost, the homeless & the hurting and all, in one way or another, encountered the love of Jesus.  It was a powerful time.
On September 3rd at 7am we boarded a plane and flew back to Kona, our home sweet home with our big Call2All family.  And man has it been refreshing!  We all spent the first night back together eating pizza, drinking sodas, having a party & sharing stories.

So now it is Monday & tomorrow we are starting our debrief week.  This is where we share even more stories & testimonies, hear each others hearts more in depth, and share in the victory of all that the Lord did on outreach & the past 6 months we have been together.  It's basically like a family reunion for a week straight, super fun!  The students will graduate on the 21st of September and then we are done!  I cannot believe it's already been almost 8 months since I arrived here & 6 months since the school started.  The consistent thread throughout this whole time has been the faithfulness of the Lord over our school. Time & time again He proved Himself worthy of ALL praise & worship.  Something all of my girls said at the end of the outreach was "We have completely fallen in love with the man Jesus, and have no reason not to give our whole lives to Him."  If that is all I saw through this whole thing, it would have been worth it... Because if we do not have that as the foundation, nothing else matters.  But! we saw even more than that... Because we had that foundation everything just began to overflow out of that place of intimacy with Jesus.  HE IS SO GOOD!
I am incredibly encouraged, lifted up, walking victorious in Jesus & what He says.  I am in love & overwhelmed with His goodness to ALL of His children.

I apologize this is so short, but I would love to tell more of the stories in person.  Thank you to every single person who invested in this time in my life.  Whether you gave financially, or prayed, or just thought about us on our journey, it was all needed & I am deeply deeply thankful for your investment.  The Father will bless you immensely for being a part.

God bless!

Love from a father from the Father

I just went through a really rough past couple of days, don't worry I got out alive and better than before ;).  I felt tired, burned out, confused, out of place, worried, sad & lonely.  I called my dad, my earthly dad.  It felt so good.  I was brought back to being a little girl...  I didn't have to hide anything or have it all together.  It didn't matter that my voice was cracking as tears began to fall on my knees as I was bent over... I was in the lap of one who loves me so much (or it felt like it atleast).  Someone who will always approve of me and delight in me.  I was with the one man whose been there with me since birth... He knows my ups, He knows my downs and he knows my in-betweens.  I was myself; broken and needing a touch.  His words of wisdom, love, comfort & encouragement began to come through the phone... From Connecticut to Irvine California, straight to my heart.  It was renewing & strengthening.  It gave me hope & healed my heart.  I felt my daddy and I became years closer within 30 minutes... And it wasn't by striving - it was by letting go, by getting low & receiving love as I poured out all I had.

All this from a man, born into sin but redeemed by the Grace of God.  CHOSEN to be my dad, and me chosen to be HIS daughter.  Both being trusted with each others hearts.  It was beautiful.  It was a picture of my heavenly Father.  If my earthly dad can love me even an ounce of what I know he does, HOW MUCH MORE! my heavenly Father... who is perfect, who created love... who is the whole definition of love and perfection, wholeness and holiness...

"My God is greater.  My God is stronger.  God you are higher than any other!"
"And if our God is for us, then who can ever stop us?  And if our God is with us, then who can stand against?"

Oh the beauty of the reality of my Father.  I am loved, protected & heard.
I am comforted, lifted up & preferred.
I am delighted in.
My Father is proud of me.
I am a kings daughter...
Accepted - Anointed - Authorized.

Who is this King of Glory that He would love me?  In my sin he loves me... so much that He gave His son, to die a painful, bloody, nasty death so no longer would a veil seperate us but so it could be torn by the King Himself so His bride could be face to face with her maker.
There is no greater love than this.

"If you then being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who seek him."  - Matthew 7:11

"If God is for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31

The 4 F's...

Free Freedom From Fear

Today I was hit with a revelation....

Throughout this past week, the Lord has been doing a lot in my heart (which I pray will be the case from now and always).
As some of you know (if you go to my church and/or get the prayer chain), I was experiencing some really intense attacks from the enemy through my dreams. I won't go into much detail, because my intent is not to make satan intriguing at all, but rather tell you of how powerful the Lord is, over any situation. The things occurring in the dreams were things that I've had fear of, as long as I can remember. Things that have haunted me, and been placed in deep deep places of me and couldn't break free of. It created a root of fear in me, that no matter how I tried always seemed to linger in me wherever I went, whoever I was with, whatever I was doing. I've had ideas of what the fear could have stemmed from, but I didn't care... because the bottom line is I knew that Jesus is King, that LOVE casts out all fear, and that God IS love... so if I have Him dwelling inside of ME, then that means fear has no room to reside.
After a couple nights of experiencing these horrifying dreams, of waking up crying and not being able to fall asleep, of shaking in my bed & not being able to shake it... I went to my leaders and asked for some prayer. The prayer turned into about an hour of them breaking off curses (generational and non) and prophesying over me, speaking LIFE & TRUTH into the places that were now freed of death & lies. I cannot express to you the freedom I felt, the joy I felt, the ... I can't even tell you, really. haha. It was so far beyond anything I'd experienced before, it was good... it was purely the goodness of Jesus over me, His delight in me overflowing, and me receiving all that He did through the cross & resurrection, for all that it was worth. Not only did I feel super free & empty of the evil, but FULL of life and full of the truth... and I also got to experience the fullness of what community is suppose to look like, and what family was designed to be. It was incredible. A day that is forever marked in my heart. (If you are experiencing any of this, please write me and I'd love to talk to you more about it and pray with you!!)
Since that day, I have not experienced any fear - ANY. I mean, I really can't tell you how much fear was removed from my life. Things like fear of not being able to figure out what to wear, to fear of being kidnapped... fear of loosing my life, fear of all my friends leaving me, fear of non of them really being friends... I mean it was deep, and it was in everything... NOT ANYMORE! God is good, and He loves to lavish His children with what they were meant to have... and I was meant to live in freedom. I also have not been attacked with any dreams. I have been speaking truth over me, digging into the Word, and covering myself with the words of Jesus. Some of the verses I have been meditating & dwelling on are:
-"You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You." - Isaiah 26:3
-"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:7
-"perfect love casts out fear." - 1 John 4:18
-"Fear not, for I am with you." - Isaiah 43:3
-"Isaiah 42:5-9"
-"Psalm 91"

It's really amazing what the Lord will do when you immerse your mind in the word.. He totally transforms it, and that's the reality of what this week has been... HUGE transformation & renewing of the mind FAR beyond anything I even believed could happen, it's amazing.

I share all of this to encourage you. ANYTHING you are dealing with, and I literally do mean EVERYTHING, can be transformed by God... and He has something in it. Even if it's awful, His desire is to reveal His goodness through it. He didn't wish it upon you, but He has allowed you to go through it. I believe for a couple reasons (in my own life at least). He trusts us, HE TRUSTS US... Ridiculous right? It's true. He trusts YOU. He knows that you are strong in Him, and He wants you to learn even deeper how to rely on Him for everything. Because HE is the strongest when we are the weakest, and He gets the most glory. And He loves you, and without the struggle, He would get no glory & you would receive no authority.
Press into Jesus. PRESS IN. More than anything else you press in. Because unless we sacrifice something, there is nothing for Him to burn, nothing to set ablaze. And He desires for you to be in fire, to live in the Fire of God, because that's part of our inheritance as children. He's so good isn't He!?

Okay so now onto the revelation that I had today! I'm just going to write out exactly what I wrote in my journal. Eat it, Drink it, Soak it in... let Abba speak more to you in it. I love you all. Miss you. Wish you all could be in Hawaii with me. You are welcome to visit anytime!!

"Jesus treats us based on what He knows about us, based on who He knows we are... Not based on our knowledge of Him. He treats us as children seated in heavenly places, regardless if we believe we are or not. He is constantly calling us into a higher place."

Go in peace & love.

ps. Thank you to everybody who prayed for me during this time, and are continuing to pray. The Lord is so faithful and He hears you!!

Sweetness of Jesus

I wanted to make another blog just to share some things that the Lord really placed in my heart this week. Like I said in the previous blog, I have really begun to have a desire to walk in a constant state of prayer with Jesus and have literally seen a difference when I am actually walking with the Holy Spirit in that.

On Thursday morning I had a wonderful coffee date with my new friend Britany here, who is in Phase 3 Fire & Fragrance on campus. We had planned for 630am. I decided to get up at 5am for some odd reason. Going to bed, I prayed that the Lord would just give me energy and that the Holy Spirit would wake me up. So 440am and I wake up, wide awake. I remember the prayer I had prayed, and instantly I smiled and began to think about the scripture "Ask and you shall receive". I wasn't that worried about Him not waking me up because I had an alarm... I didn't beg, I just asked, believed, and then received. That alone was so wonderful.

The next hour and a half I had alone, I wasn't sitting in the prayer room, I wasn't like trying to focus on praying... But the Holy Spirit was with me the whole time. The sweetness of His spirit was so thick. I could literally feel him all around me. I took my time getting ready, and the longer I was awake in the silence of the early morning, the better I began to feel, the peace in my spirit began to grow, and my heart was becoming one with the Father more and more every second. He loves to be near to me. I didn't have to do anything - I was just open to receive... and He loves to give.

So coffee comes around, and if I were to sum it up in just a couple sentences... I'd have to say 1) The Holy Spirit was having so much fun Britany and I and our spirits inside began to enjoy the Holy Spirit together and 2) My heart took a trip home. Coming from a place like the Farm (A Place For The Heart), you learn to speak this certain language. I had never realized how rare and precious of a jewel it was until I was taken out of that atmosphere and put into something different. Not a bad different, just different. I love YWAM, and I have grown so deep in Truth and Spirit with the Father in this time and I have roots here now that could never be anywhere else. But what I took away from the farm was intimacy with each person of the Trinity. A language of being still, waiting, lavishing, living out extravagant lives... and that is something that will never be replaced - it is a home inside of my heart that I know the Lord loves to be in.

I met Britany in the prayer room. I was waring in the spirit, and she was writing in her journal right next to me. She came up to me afterwards and immediately my spirit inside came alive. There was something different about her than anybody else I had met here on campus. She spoke my language. She encouraged me... spoke that I was an evangelist, and that I was a Giant in the Spirit. We had planned to have coffee but it didn't work for a couple weeks. So we finally set a date. Sitting there, like I said before, it was like going home. I told her all about the farm and the Holy Spirit just came over her and she started crying by the beauty of it, and told me she had never heard of a ministry that focused so much on the sweetness of Jesus and just waiting on His presence, and really taking time for beauty and poetry and the HEART of people... not just what we are called to, but who we ARE and pulling that out. It made me realize and remember what the Lord had done in me, and again it awoke something else in side of me. We sat then for an hour and a half and just really enjoyed each others company. It was sweet, thats all I can describe. You know when you first fall in love with Jesus, or you have a new revelation and suddenly everything is like 10x's more beautiful? It's like everything is edited... it's more bold, more colorful, more fresh? Thats what this hour and a half was like. It was like finding a beautiful tree that was blowing in the slight breeze and you're able to just sit under it for hours, or finding a new field you can go and frolic in, or having a beautiful journal you just can't wait to pour your heart out in... It was amazing.
While sitting there, Britany felt like she was suppose to read this poem over me. After taking it out she realized that it was the poem she was writing two seconds before she met me. Right before we wrote the poem she asked the Lord to send her girls that spoke her language and she could disciple and walk with. She wrote this poem, and then she met me. It was truly set up by God - I love when He is so intentional (which is all the time). The poem had a picture of a big tree with a bird on the right side - and it was about flying and a dove. Just the picture and title blew me away and I was hit with the Holy Spirit, haha. Trees & Doves & Flying are 3 things that the Lord has spoken to me about over the past 2 or so years of my life, and visions of Doves flying keep reoccurring. At the moment I don't have the poem so I can't share it right now. But I just wanted to tell you this short hour and a half encounter with Jesus through a friend.

Through this the realization that I carry the Lord in my heart wherever I go became so extremely real to me. What I experienced growing up at the farm is not something I just can experience there. It is a language in the heart of the Lord that I can constantly walk in. I don't have to be at one place in order to encounters Jesus' sweetness, I carry that inside of me. I have the ability then to pour that language out on other people... and it is contagious. Because people thirst for Jesus even when they don't believe in Him. And it is such an honor to be able to give that to people. Love God. Love Others. It's that simple.

After our coffee date, I had such a joy. I couldn't help but poor it out. I was able to really encourage a girlfriend here who is going through just a dull season, I was able to pour out living water into her heart because I had just been poured into. It reminds me of the power of remembering. We have to remember where we came from and what the Lord has done in us - how much He has redeemed us. The reality & power of our past experiences are going to fade in our life... we move on and we don't mean to, but we forget. When we are not feeding of the Word and really spending time with the Lord on a daily basis, it fades even more and we grow weary. But when we choose to remember what God has done, when we choose to go to Him for our daily bread... It's like jumping in a refreshing stream after a hard days work. You don't care what it looks like to other people, you are just so excited to be renewed and you feel like you've just been brought to life again.

Having coffee with Britany was really like meeting with Jesus. Her heart is so hungry and thirsty for Him, she doesn't care what it looks like, she just wants more of Jesus. When friendships are made like this, nothing can replace them and you really experience the heart of Jesus in a new way, and He loves it. He loves our hunger, He loves our thirst, He loves our desire to know Him more. He isn't a pushy God, He isn't an angry God... He is a jealous God for MY heart. and I love that.

Through this, I have made Psalm 45 something I read everyday. It is so beautiful. I encourage you to read it, and really let it soak into your spirit.

I want to encourage you. Have hope. God knows what we are going through. He knows our ins and outs, even the parts we are scared to look at. He loves us through it all, and He loves to lavish us. We are His children and He is SO pleased with us. We don't have to do anything but just receive the love He desires to pour out on us, and in that we truly learn to live life out as beautifully as it was created to be lived. Jesus loves you. He loves you so much. He has so many presents He is longing for you to open. Just be open to what He has for you and you will be blown away by the Love of a God who sent His son for YOU to be in constant communion with Him. Don't be afraid, just step out and Trust. He is waiting to take your hand.
